Ross Haley
PT, DPT, GCS
Ross Haley, PT, DPT, GCS attended the University of Delaware where he earned his Bachelor degree in Exercise Science and a Doctorate of Physical Therapy, which he completed in 2009.
After his Doctorate degree, Ross continued at the University of Delaware for thirteen months to complete a Geriatric Residency program. As part of his residency, he treated patients at the University of Delaware Physical Therapy Clinic and observed physicians in geriatric-related areas. Additional experiences included shadowing with health professionals in the areas of prosthetics and orthotics, medical management of the complex geriatric patient, pharmacology, nursing, wound care, and health policy; lecturing and assisting in graduate physical therapy courses; and organizing and leading journal clubs on topics in geriatric physical therapy. Ross has been board-certified in treating geriatric patients since 2011. He has a special interest in treating general orthopaedics, geriatric orthopaedics, vestibular patients, post-concussion symptoms, and Parkinson-related disorders.
During his residency, Ross was a co-author for “Functional and Biomechanical Outcomes in a Patient After Total Knee Arthroplasty: Biofeedback for Retraining Symmetrical Movement Patterns”, which was published in JOSPT in 2012. He also submitted a poster presentation while at CSM in 2011 which won Best Poster for the Section on Geriatrics. He is an APTA certified clinical instructor and enjoys the opportunity to assist physical therapy students in preparing to become practicing clinicians.
Ross was born and raised in Smyrna, DE and has lived in Lewes, DE since 2011. Since that time, Ross has practiced in outpatient hospital and clinic settings in Southern Delaware. Aside from work, Ross likes to spend his free time with wife, Jen and daughter, Bryn. He enjoys being outside and spends most summer weekends going to the beach and tending to his garden.
